The flagship of the Costa fleet, Costa Serena is all
set to sail the first cruise, "El crucero de Pelé – Sabor Brasil,"
dedicated to Pele, the king of Football on 28th June, in 2009. The
grand celebration on the opening day of the cruise will bring the king
of soccer himself to the occasion, accompanied by the presidents of
federations, clubs and confederations. Their presence will do the honor
to the special purpose.
The Costa Serena is the flagship of Italian fleet of the Costa
cruises, which will arrange the first sail from Venice. The innovative
concept of dedicating the cruise in the name of Pele for the first time
has raised an exciting spark in the realm of tourism. The initiative
was taken mainly by Grupo Olympia, a renowned company fascinating the
world with its 20 years of entertainment services.
A Press Conference was called in Madrid where Pele marked the
occasion with his presence. He invited Europe's best footballers from
the 20th century. The interesting passenger list will include sterling
personalities like presidents of football federations, confederations
and clubs. There will be other big names from the world of sports and
media too. To enliven the cruising experience, conferences and meetings
about today’s football would be held during the cruise.
The cruise would primarily focus on Brazil and its sports but on the
way, there would be stops at Croatia, Italy and Greece. Famous
Brazilian performers like Toquinho, Alexandre Pires and Grupo Sereno
will add an extra zing to the fun quotient with their mind-blowing
performances. At the end of the day, you will not only find the whole
ambiance relaxing but it could also turn out to be a great scope for
corporate opportunities.
